Raise your hand in the comments to be remembered in prayer this week. #prayer #christian
#latergram The past week has been healing and good. We celebrated my birthday belatedly(since we had a family medical need to tend to on the day), had a good day at church (I love my classroom!), a great concert by the older kids in the library, full lunar eclipse, and I got to go to the Hierarchical Vespers last Wednesday at St. George cathedral, where there’s a beautiful mosaic of Christ blessing the children in the garden.
I love hiking, but it’s too hot to hike much in our Texas summers. I’m doing some reading and working on strategies to get outside more often year-round. The books I’m reading are:
I updated the visual schedule for the Mass of St. Gregory the Great. Stop by my site to download the PDF.
Look what came in! I had some custom hoodies made for @parkendbooks in time for me to take one to the DOWAMA PLC next month, where I will be a vendor. Sometimes hotels get chilly, and I wanted to be prepared. I’ve been quiet lately because I’m making cool stuff! And because I have had a pretty persistent migraine most of the past two weeks. I’ll be sharing some of the fruits of this quiet work soon!

Prayer candles are the only flames we need. Build each other up! #christiancreative #prayer #humor
You gotta eat. Message if you need a gift card. No strings. I won’t mention it again. I’m giving these out of gratitude to all the people who fed me when I was hungry.
Because I have had a dear relative die recently and another nearing death, I have been reminded of the struggle and shuffle of finding photographs of loved ones when it’s time to remember them. Ever since my dad died in 2012, I have tried to put myself in more family photos. This little video is a glimpse of some of the memories I had on my phone tonight as I was holding my youngest while she slept. Don’t hide your face. It’s astonishing how much we can’t pass along of those we love. Make it easier by letting people see you. #family #momlife
